Support for ROAR: Both in Massachusetts and across the Nation

Although based primarily in Boston, this politically driven organization grew to have a national standing with ROAR groups existing outside of Boston. The perception of this organization by the people of Boston and the nation varied, usually to one extreme or another. While some people felt that ROAR was racist and violent, others saw them as righteous leaders of a revolution.

Regardless of what viewpoint, letters for Louise Day Hicks and ROAR came from people across the nation, with letters pouring in almost every day from people wanting to either form their own group, provide monetary support, pray for ROAR, and to stop anti-busing from taking over the nation.
